The Missing Three Secrets of Manifestation: A Life of Abundance, with God.

With the onset of the digital world, of google, instagram and TikTok, the aspect of manifestation is becoming extremely main stream and even "trendy".

However, all too often, the principals discussed in those circles can leave us feeling like we’re not actually going anywhere, can enforce an unhealthy “hustle” mentality, or even result in trauma or toxicity from self-help coaches who have made millions but really only have the dollar value in their minds.

Today, I want to talk to you about:

If God actually desires a life of wealth and abundance for us, along with proof from the Bible.

The top three missing secrets behind manifestation

God desires us to be humble, so will we ever be millionaires?

Some point to Mark 10:17-31 where a wealthy man asks Jesus what is required to enter His Kingdom, and Jesus asks him to sell all of his possessions.

"Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

You may look at this story and think, it's not worth it, I don't want to be poor, I want to enjoy life! But, I urge you to look deeper ...

Not only does it state God will give you everything, but it also states what you give up God will return a hundred times as much. When Job lost everything, because of his commitment to God, all his possessions and family were restored immensely.

All the Kings who followed God in the Old Testament and acted on His commands were blessed with more wealth than any other Kingdom. Jesus even tested and proved this to His disciples in Luke 9 by telling them to go out and preach His word, bringing nothing with them, assuring them they would be provided for ... And if they weren't received, to wipe the dirt of that town off their feet, and carry onwards.

Clearly, God doesn’t want us to live a poor life; He wants to bless us immensely, not only in this life but beyond this physical plain of existence!

So, what is missing with Manifestation? Where are most others veering off course?

The definition of manifestation, from Oxford Languages, is described as, “an event, action, or object that clearly shows or embodies something, especially a theory or an abstract idea”. The defining principal of manifestation is around embodying, and becoming, the vibration of our desire. Techniques for this can range from journaling, vision boards, positive affirmations, mantras, surrounding yourself with appropriate people and experiences that embody your desire, and on.

What is wrong with all of this?

The first, biggest, secret of manifestation is to look towards God rather than the self.

The techniques above are fixating on our own selves, placing an emphasis on our own creations rather than the creator. Am I saying we are not able to create our desires and must leave life up to a whim?

No!

But, I am saying we need to recognize and understand God’s purpose and plan in our lives. In Jeremiah 29:11-14 it states, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you.”

We are permitted to ask for our desires, but we have to recognize their source, as coming from God!

This leads us to the second secret of manifestation:

Understanding we may not have the whole picture, and connecting with God for the patience and wisdom in such.

Bear in mind, If someone was just to give you a million dollars, it might not be properly utilized and wasted unless you have healed any financial trauma. You may think you could spend it wisely, but if you have primarily lived from a life of lack, shame, or fear, this could prompt a very rocky road ahead.

Or, for example, you could be asking for a cake, and perhaps you are given the ingredients, but unless you know how to mix and bake them, you won’t actually be able to produce that cake, so perhaps recognizing you are learning that process first!

Phillipians 4:6-7 states, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” God’s understanding surpasses ours! And not only that, but he loves us, cares for us, and desires to guide and bless us if only we look to Him and trust Him. Gone is your anxiety over your desires because you can know that He will provide for you, immeasurably more than you could ask for, AND in the way that is best for you.

So in this, when manifesting, maintaining and enhancing a deep connection and relationship with God is so important; you can then so be aware of the signs and directions that He is pointing you towards. Taking heart, and having patience, and understanding, that sometimes what you think you want might not exactly be what you need most, or perhaps there are lessons and ways for you to grow before you can step into your desires.

I’m not stating the tools of manifestation are worthless, but just like that cake, unless you are using them properly and turning to the true Source, you may never see results, or the results that are actually in your best interest.

Finally, the third missing secret:

Giving thanks to God in advance, maintaining faith in His blessings.

This principal was demonstrated extensively in the bible; you can see reference to this in John 6 when Jesus fed the masses. Despite only having a small amount of food, and a large amount of people, Jesus prayed over the food, giving thanks, and then proceeded to hand it out.

He didn’t say, maybe God will provide, and waited for the miracle to give thanks, He gave thanks first! (verse 11). In John 11, there was a man named Lazarus who had been dead for four days, yet again, after rolling away the stone from his Tomb, Jesus looked up and gave thanks (verse 41-42) before seeing the miracle of Lazarus being alive. In Mark 11:24 Jesus stated, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” In this we can see these three principals in action:

Looking to God

Being connected to Him in prayer for wisdom and understanding

Giving thanks and having faith

So here I leave you with a few questions to ponder.

Where are you looking to yourself and your own strength instead of God?
How can you build that relationship and connection with Him?
And, perhaps, what aspects of your life need to be grown, or healed, so that you can truly receive all that He wants to bless you with?
